This Marmoucha kilim from the Middle Atlas, Morocco, dates back to the 1980s. Technically, it is quite typical, but the way the design is reduced one the other side drawn in hundreds of little variations with breaks, sudden changes of color and rhythm, deconstructed details is absolutely unique. The muted Red, white and back stripes have a bold energy, upon closer inspection you can find green accents, these little details are lost in many contemporary rugs. A stable rug with dense structure + in very good condition.
