A highly unusual rug from the northern slopes of the High Atlas, south of Marrakech, made in the 1960s-1970s. It is a very rare kind of rug that somehow blends some of the qualities of the rugs from the Jebel Siroura region (such as good wool quality, typical sunny background) with the free spirit of the Boujad rugs of the 1950s/1960s. A rich orange with red and black details with bold graphic design . A stabie rug with sound structure and in very good condition. 100% wool with a very soft hand and beautiful patina.
