House & Garden UK: Gimme Shelter Like This
The March issue of British House & Garden has a light, bright next-gen well story on Vincent Frey's super-fab Paris home that's anything by traditional. Their fresh takes on interational design have us craving more.
Last summer Joe and I had the distinct pleasure of hosting a visit to the showroom by British House & Garden Publisher Kate Slesinger and associate publisher Liz Jeans. What a treat. While I confess to adoring everything British, I swear that wasn't it. Smart, savvy and funny, the UK ladies wowed us with their knowledge of everything from fashion (Kate is late of British VOGUE, after all) to culture and design. They showed us some thick, glossy, drop-dead gorgeous issues of the magazine and we were hooked. Check it out for yourself.
Also in March, this spread on a home in the 'bu by architect Craig Ellswood. And the garden coverage is transportive. Magical.
We wish we'd gotten a chance to meet in person Editor Susan Crewe and Executive Editor Petra Kenyon, who did a gorgeous editorial on Joe's Fishskin blue and silver in the December issue's news section with the delightlfully Brit-speak title "Stop Press". Petra, Susan, Kate and Liz -- it is an honor to be in your pages. Here's the clip:
You know these ladies are fun - here they are (Perta, Susan and Liz) at the George Smith Sofas & Shakers party last Fall:

One final note - of COURSE they have a super cool blog. Go there, and I dare you not to book your London flight on the spot. Here's a recent post on he new affordable online art gallery coloursoup:
