First up in the spotlight, Sumac Stripes. Joseph Carini distills all that’s wonderful about the flat-weave into his sleek, casual Sumac Stripes. Hand-spun Himalayan wool is either left sheep-hued or dyed with exotic natural botanical potions and masterfully woven in these or any custom configuration of flat or contrasting high-pile stripes. Crewel Beauty: fall’s hottest trend

Suzani by Joseph Carini celebrates crewel work.

Joseph Carini created the Suzani rug, inspired by classic Suzani crewel work, long before the ancient embroidery technique became a hot trend for Fall in fashion and interiors. Most crewelwork is very colorful, but Suzani celebrates the form by taking the bright color away. An all-wool carpet, Suzani is crafted of wool that is the natural color of the sheep – both white sheep and brown.
